Get To Know Us

Heuristic Healing, Inc. was incorporated in August 2014.  Originally, the company was created and named Heuristic Quest Foundation by its originator Paulette R. Eason-Williams LCPC CADC in December 2003.  The current office is located at 1222 West 95th Street in Chicago at the Brainerd Medical Building.  The company was previously housed at 9453 S. Ashland Ave until August 2018.

Our motto is “Feel better, do better, be better.”   We provide a variety of services to help individuals, couples, families, professionals and communities to become the best version of themselves.

Our office is in an underserved community in Chicago. We serve clients ages 8 and older from all walks of life, educational and social levels, but we especially concerned about the underprivileged and disenfranchised.  Oppression has an impact on mental and physical health and education surrounding this concern is vital to the recovery of all people.

Meet The Founder

Paulette R. Eason-Williams is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor since 2003 and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor since 1998. 

She is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in Counselor Education and Supervision at Governors State University.  Her dissertation focus is African American Wellness. She has a master’s degree in counseling and organizational psychology from Adler University/Robert Morris, which enables her to provide consultation services to improve businesses and their services.  She worked as a consultant with New Age Services to implement payment from private insurance, train staff, and create curriculum and groups for clients.

She has a master’s in criminal justice and has provided services for work release for the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) and the Cook County Jai (CCJ).  She created and implemented an Anger Management group and workbook while working in the substance abuse program in CCJ. 

She has provided supervision to mental health and addiction counselors for more than 10 years. She has been a Licensed CEU Sponsor since 2007.  This license allows her to provide training a continuing education credits (CEU) for professionals.

She is a National Merit Scholar (1973) and a National Board of Certified Counselors Fellowship Award Winner (2018).

She has written three books, Anger Management (2007), Addictables (an addiction education workbook, 2010), and Coping and Social Skills with Cope & Steady (a coping and social skill workbook for children & adolescents).

She has worked with the underserved, underprivileged and disenfranchised her entire career and has a passionate desire to empower people through education, counseling, training, supervision, and consultation.
